Update March. 2010

Fenner Pump Conversion
I was able to find a steel horizontal
pump resevoir online, but it needed some modifications to make it vertical.

Since this was going to be mounted
vertical I needed to add a vent. So a hole was cut and a NPT bung was welded
in.

NPT fitting welded in.

I modified the pick up screen with a brass nipple so it will be in a vertical position.

Pump resevoir works and mouted.

Wiring.
I built my own wire harness and started with a tractor trailer truck
style conectors. One will be for main power and ground the other will be for
the pump controls.

This aluminum panel will mounted near the battery. It will house the plow light relays and the off road light relay.

I machined these mounting bungs and spaced them out so they will utilize factory holes in the truck.

TIG welded the mounting bungs to the back side of the aluminum plate. The bolt is there to hold the spacer to the plate for welding.

Counter bored the front of the mounting bungs to so that the socket head cap screws are sunken in.

Here is the plate mounted to factory holes in the radiator support. This uses metric bolts. I do not like drilling un-needed holes in vehicles.

Mounted panel with the relays. Nice and clean.

I wanted to be able to shut off the whole plow system. So I welded a bracket I made to the battery tray that will hold the Moroso cut off switch.

Cut off switch wired and ready.

Control box which has the plow controls and the light switches that I made.

Complete and ready for snow.
